Alright, as I said earlier, this blog challenge asks more questions about me, which is obviously difficult! The main reason being “who would want to read about me?” So I put down some of the 20 really interesting facts (well, I hope they are interesting) about me. Hope you don’t get bored! 🙂
So, Here we go!
1. Â Am left handedÂ
Whenever I say that, it is followed by a very weird question:
“you eat with left hand too??”
Well, duh, I do eat with left hand, because am left handed remember?? Here, eating with left hand is considered filthy and there are many many superstitions behind the left hand. I have had some really bad experiences because of this, about which I will write a detailed post some day.
2. I can write/draw with both hands simultaneously and both hand-writings look the same.
But yeah, point to be noted, I haven’t trained my brain yet to write different content simultaneously. I have a video of me writing like that somewhere,. but since this blog is anonymous, I would like to keep it that way.
3. It is almost impossible to make me angry.
The one aspect I love the most about myself is I can’t get angry at anyone easily nor can I hate people. If you had read my first day challenge post , you would know that my friends have been with me for a really long time. The reason being, I’ve never really fought with any of them. Even if I did, it would be for few minutes and not more. They have hurt me, sometimes even did blunders that almost damaged my career and education but still, what’s the point in getting angry?  So that’s how it goes.
My friends would never do anything intentionally to hurt me. If they did, then they are not even worth my anger. Others don’t deserve my anger nor my hatred while my friends are too precious to be hated as well!
But yes, there is only one person who can really make me angry, my one and only lovely “mom”. 🙂 In my opinion she is someone with whom I can get angry, shed my ego, cry, scream and laugh with.Â
4. Am talkative yet quiet
This is one thing that I hate and love about myself. Most people think am the biggest chatterbox but the truth is I talk too less. But when I do, I talk so energetically with everyone, that people think I am talkative. Well, not actually.
5. Shopping takes 10 minutes and Not More.
I can’t shop for more than 10 minutes. I can’t stay in a shop any longer looking for better outfits. I always decide what I want before entering a store and buy only that and get out! Any extra minute is a waste of time! Well, please don’t take me for company if you love shopping! 😀
6. I read anything, everything.
Well, at one point of time I enjoyed reading my engineering textbooks. Well, who does that for time pass? I did 😮
7. I learnt to use scissors just this week.
Well, that sounds weird, I know. Most probably it is because of my left handedness. I bought some special pair of scissors that really does the magic. So, yeah am surrounded by colorful craft paper these days 😀
8. I hate swearing
If you’ve noticed, I never use any of the foul words. Neither in my mother tongue nor in English; I never write, shout or murmur under my breath. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. I just don’t. It just saves me from public embarrassment I believe.
9. I love South East Asian languages
My first love is Korean. I found the language so fascinating that I learnt to read, write and speak (a little) too. Currently am learning Japanese. God, it’s an ocean! Apart from that I speak 3-4 Asian languages quite fluently. 🙂
10. I like nerds
I enjoy the company of a nerd (in a good way). I find them interesting and I feel connected easily.
11. Library – the only place I love to visit
The only place where I can go crazy and excited all at once is a library. I love libraries.!!! And of course, a book store, book fairs, anything related to books are fascinating and exciting!
12. I truly hate my senior school and college days (although I cherish a few moments)
Usually people love their senior school days or their time at college. But I truly hate both. I learnt some of the best lessons in the most bitter ways during those days. Lessons for a life time!
13. I love summer; I have never seen snow!
Actually, we hardly have winter and of course no snow at all. Which means I’ve seen snow only in pictures! 😮 But yeah, even the slightest winter that we have here, I dislike. Summer is of course quite hot about 35–40 °C and I literally love roaming in the sun (which is weird, I know)
14. I look too small for my age
Well, people think am very young. Younger than my actual age and so I often don’t receive the respect I deserve for age in formal speech!! 😮 I hate that!! You see, in Asian languages, elders are given respect in formal speech, not like English which is very neutral to all age groups!
15. I enjoy reading Self-help books and Philosophy
Yeah that’s my favorite genre. I can read all day long. 🙂
16. I get along well with guys than girls
I am not a tomboy. But I have very few girl friends. I wonder why!
17. I wrote my first poem in class 8
I never knew I could write stuff until class 8, especially poetry. I participated in an on-the-spot poetry writing competition which is when I got to know I could write too! 🙂
18. Computer programming and logical thinking is my area
By now you would have come to conclusion that am a nerd, yeah.. I’m a little., yes 😀 So am not elaborating this point anymore. 😀
19. Omg, this is hard!
I must tell you this is the hardest toughest piece I’ve ever written! Seriously, I’m sorry for putting you through this trouble!!
