The Daily Dare is a site where I post a dare everyday. I dare myself and the readers to do it. Mostly the word “dare” is used for doing things that are out of the way – rule-breaking-nonsensical-activities.
For a change, am going to use the term “dare”, to create a positive effect on me and you as an individual.
The blog is all about progress, the slow and steady metamorphosis of mental well being. I wish to create a platform for all readers and fellow bloggers to take part in healthy dares everyday.
I wish that each one of us could challenge ourselves to be a better version of who we were yesterday!
Are you ready for the dare? Do you wish to join me on this venture?
If yes, click the link below, Follow, Subscribe and stay on track with this confused young adult’s journey towards betterment and consistent development!
Hi Everyone, I had enrolled for this challenge about a month ago. At that time, I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it. But now I really really want to be a part of it! The challenge is that we have to post something everyday in the month of April from A to Z, on a particular theme! Yes, except Sundays, all 26 days, 26 alphabets! Cool, right? 😀 And today is the theme release day! And I have decided the theme:
Emotions and Feelings
Since my blog already deals with the same concept, am going to choose an emotion/feeling for each alphabet and write a post everyday! It could be a poem, a story for Story Time With A Difference or a riddle for Guess Who Am I? or an everyday event post for Today In Short!! Howzzaatt!! 🙂
Am super super excited! I just can’t wait until April!
There are over 1000 bloggers who have signed up for this challenge. If you too wish to be a part of it, then click the following link and Sign Up right away! 🙂 Link : Blogging From A to Z Challenge [April 2015] ~ Yuvathi ❤ 🙂
So, here’s the final batch of the 31 day blog challenge! Am super excited to finish this! 😀
Day 21 – My 10 Favorite Foods
Wow! Now that’s interesting! 😉 Am more like the make-healthy eat-healthy kinda person.. So, I will be mentioning a few simple and yummy favorite dishes that can be made in the kitchen by almost anybody!!
But, all the dishes are going to be mostly Native (Indian) spicy yummy “vegetarian” delicacies. So if you are from another part of the world, and a vegetarian, I would suggest you to try them when you visit India 😀 Here’s the list of simple foods that can be made at home by almost anybody!!!
Tea! (Is that a food? Nope. But I can’t live without it. So am adding it 😀 )
Sambhar + Dosa – who doesn’t love them?!
Panipuri (golgappa) – I eat them when am sad, happy, grumpy, angry…. Oh! Anytime!
Albert The Dog– Albert is one Wonderful Dog and he owns this blog. Seriously!
Aionios – Awesome inspiring poetry. Really awesome. My fav. Period.
Day 26 – An Old Photo Of Me
Aahann!! Okay, that’s me when I was 6 years old.. And, that’s taken during a fancy dress competition, and am dressed like Mira Bai, singing one of her songs.. Oh! Did I not tell you? Am a good classical singer too 🙂
Day 27 – My Favorite Recipe
Oh no! Am not a great cook! But I love making Tomato Pachadi. We can mix it with rice and serve as a main dish, or use it as a side dish too for roti, dosa, puri etc. Simple and easy to make! takes only 10-15 mins to prepare.
Chop juicy and ripe tomato into small dices. Put it in a pan, add turmeric powder, ginger, asafoetida, green chilli, salt and other seasoning for taste. Let it cook for 5-10 minutes. And Tadaaa Pachadi Ready! 😀
Day 28 – What Am I Looking Forward To..
Well, am looking forward to writing a good book someday. Sooner perhaps than later 🙂
Day 29 – Where Have I Travelled
Frankly, am a terrible traveller. I’v never really gone over long distant tours because I get motion sickness. But now, am wayyy better, so when I do, I will make an entry for sure 🙂
Day 30 – What’s In My Make-Up Bag
Ah.. Am not much into make-up. All I carry along is a moisturizer, a lip balm, Mascara and an eye liner!
Day 31 – Why Do I Blog
When I started this blog, all I wanted to do was to share some positive thoughts to my readers. There’s way too much of negativity and sarcasm in the internet world that morals and good thoughts are overridden by mean opinions and dirty thoughts. So, if people are looking for some thought provoking ideas that motivate and inspire them for a happy and healthy life; I wanted to make sure that they could find them right here, on my blog. So, I hope I have been doing that. And I will continue to do it forever 🙂
Thank You all so much for supporting my blog. And thank you very much for stopping by.
Week 1 went really great and we received some awesome responses from our participants for Week 1 – That Unforgettable Journey. I will compile them in a post and publish them today! Thank you all for the active participation. 🙂
Now, week 2 is up and it is time for you to share some of your sweetest and funniest memories on your blog!
What can make us smile more than a naughty mischief and a funny prank? Some pranks are way too smart while some are too silly. Either way, at the end of the day, they make us smile.
Now, share something on your blog about that mischief. A picture, a poem, a story, anything!
I found the above picture on Facebook and it reminded me of all the cute and funny memories of my childhood. This week share your Essence Of Reminiscence about your favorite Mischiefs and Prankswith a pingback to this post. 🙂

Here comes the next batch of the 31 Day Blog Challenge Posts.. Am I allowed to do like this? I wonder! 😀
Day 13 : My Earliest Memory
Well, I have a very strong memory.. Photographic memory especially and my earliest ‘happy’ memory would be playing under the hibiscus tree with my cousin when we were about 2.5 yearsold.. The best days of my life 🙂
Day 14 : If I Won The Lottery
I would obviously put a part of it in the bank, some I would invest in my dream-business venture and a major part in starting a school to educate “speech, hearing and visually impaired kids”.
Day 15 : Timeline Of My Day
Well, it varies almost everyday, but some of it remains a routine.. like..the day usually starts off with jogging and some book reading time in the park early in the morning after which I set off to work. Evening I visit the educational institute about which I have mentioned in some of my previous posts and then practice Veena(yeah, that’s my new obsession), then spend some time on my blog and watch The Mentalist before going to bed! 🙂 In between these activities I do a lot of other crazy stuff of course! 😀
Day 16 : Top Of My Bucket List
Well, I would say travelling to Seoul? 😀 To be practical, on top of everything crazy and impossible in my bucket list would be to start my own business and do my part for the societysomeday. I know I can’t do it right now, but that would always be my top priority amongst all my other dreams.
Day 17 : Most Proud Moment
I was proudest when I got a standing ovation from the audience after my speech. The best feeling ever when people put their hands up in the air and applaud… Amazing moment. Of course. 🙂
Day 18 : The Meaning Behind My Blog Name
The name of my blog depicts the nature of my mind and my very own self! When I started this blog I was in a terribly confused state any young adult could ever be. This blog paved way to clarity and greater sense of understandingthe reality and different aspects of life. 🙂
Day 19 : What Do I Collect
Books. Notepads. Bookmarks. Pens. Anything useful related to paper and writing. 😀
Day 20 : A Difficult Time In My Life
There have been many. Of course. One of the worst would be when the doctor said my mother may not survive the next day..when I was just 15and I was on my way to write my life’s most important exams. Well, don’t worry, my mother crossed that difficult time and she is hale and healthy. 🙂
So, that’s it for now.. This post started with the fondest memory and ended with the worst.. Wow! I have only 11 more days to finish it! Hope to finish the rest in the next batch 😀
Yeah, Am so much busy with work these days, that I don’t find enough time to finish the blog challenge! So here I am, posting day 7 to day 12 blogs, which I missed out in the process 🙂
Day 7 : My Pet Hates
Oh, none at all! I love animals, especially dogs, cats and ducks! My long time desire is to own a purple color Dinosaur, hoping to raise one soon! 😀
Right now am not in a position to own one. But some day I will for sure 🙂
Day 8 : What’s In My Handbag
Yeah, my handbag doesn’t have any girly make up stuff! Am not much into those…. I always carry a book, my notepad and a journal and a bunch of pens and of course a chocolate bar (for sure) and a comb ( I have really long hair! ) apart from other essentials like a mobile phone, wallet, etc!
Day 9 : Worst Habits
Habits..Worst? Yeah, Am a workaholic. I keep working most of the time that I forget to take time for a break. Am “working” on it now 🙂
Day 10 : Best Physical Feature
Thanks to heredity, DNA and my lovely mom. I would say my best physical feature would be long silky straight brown hair. 🙂
Day 11 : My 15 Favorite Things
catalogs of interior design,
mp3 music player,
Day 12 : What’s Inside My Fridge
Inside my fridge there is a large Dairymilk Almonds and Nuts Silk Bar and a Temptations bar apart from vegetables and other cooking stuff. (I always do have at least a couple of them)
Staring at the word “sense” : wondering, “why is brain not a sense organ? After all only that makes “sense” more sensible and segregates the rest from nonsense and nuisance etc…”well, that made no sense at all now. Drop it!
The aroma of my favorite dish from the kitchen… cooking in progress!Aaaww… Drrooolll… 😀
Listening to “Say Anything” in Tristan Prettyman’s lovely voice.. (my favorite movie : Safe Haven’s OST) Blissful..!
Singing along with Tristan Prettyman.. Gulping the health drink after all the workout and Yoga..!Yummm!
One hand on the keyboard, the other enjoying the warmth of the cup with the yummy health drink 🙂 Multitasking! 😛
So, that’s it people, am just as bored as the rest of the bored world!
I listen to songs based on my mood. Sometimes I don’t care about the lyrics, it’s just the voice or the music. Since the challenge states “right now”, it makes it a little easy to list out the top 10 songs on my current playlist! Please don’t expect great ones in the list, because am as blank as I could ever be, listening to couple of years old random songs. 😀
Am adding only English and Korean albums. Don’t ask me “why Korean”, I just love the language 😀 None of the other languages, especially no song in my mother tongue or national language is added in this list. If I do that, then I will be way too confused.. So here’s the simple list of random top 10 songs 🙂
1. Shake It Off – Taylor Swift
2. Happy – Pharrell Williams
3. First Love (첫사랑) – Tiger JK ft. Punch
4. Grenade – Bruno Mars
5. Paradise – Coldplay
6. Stronger – Kelly Clarkson
7. Growl (으르렁) – Exo
8. Hey Soul Sister – Train
9. Problem – Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea
10. 22 – Taylor Swift
Ah.. I wish I could add a few more.. But that’s the top 10 on the play list now! 😀
Was there any of your favs?? Feel free to leave a comment below 🙂
Am not afraid of something so silly like a lizard or a cockroach. Am not afraid of thunder or the dark either. The only thing am really afraid of is : “Lies”, to put it precisely I would say “Liars and Lies”.
I was an amazing liar when I was a kid. Nobody could ever decipher if I was telling the truth or lie. I was an impeccable liar! Not because I wanted to, but I would just say some lie or the other for no reason at all! I was just a kid! Later on, when I was 7, I deliberately lied about not doing some prank and my sister was blamed for it. She never told my mom that it was me, instead she protected me and took all the blame on herself. That hurt me and I told my mom the truth. So that’s how I changed for the better. Thanks to my sister. 🙂
I don’t lie. But sometimes, if necessary I hide the truth.
But as I grew up, I learnt how much a lie could impact one’s life, relationships and feelings. The worst part, the lie-chain. How people tell one lie over another to cover up their previous lie and the lie-chain continues and goes on forever. Am afraid of liars, they scare me. There is no trust, no faith and you are never sure when to believe and when not to. Even when they tell you the truth, you won’t be able to believe them!
When you get to know that someone lied to you about something so important; there is no feeling more devastating than that.
Lies create suspicion, destroys relationships, steals mental peace from both the liar as well as the listener.
I had the best days when I was 13. That’s when I started appreciating literature, enjoyed reading bigger books (yes, that’s how I called them), wrote poetry and learnt to appreciate Charles Dickens, William Wordsworth, Oscar Wilde, P.B.Shelley, William Shakespeare and so on.. Golden days indeed! During those days, many wonderful quotes struck my head like a nail and they remain etched afresh in my memory. Choosing just one is really difficult but if I had to, I would choose the first quote I ever noted down in my journal
There Is Nothing Either Good Or Bad,
But Thinking Makes It So.
Beautiful, isn’t it? One of the best in my opinion. 🙂 What seems good to you could be bad for someone else!
Your home might seem like a dull place to you; but for a homeless man it is heaven.
The dry summer is good for a potter but not for a farmer.
The tigress can’t be blamed for hunting the deer! For the deer’s mother, the tigress is bad while for the tigress’ cubs, she is the best.
You might find your neighbor’s lack of manners annoying but she might have a generous heart.
