Day 22 – Best Thing To Happen This Year

2015 is moving pretty fast. The best thing to happen this year is would be : A change in my career. A step up!

Day 23 – My Dream Job

Well, I have already written about this. But.. Since it states “job” I would say – To become the CEO of a company that brings a good change in people’s lifestyle on a large scale.

Day 24 – My Favorite Childhood Book

Ah!!! Now that’s a lovely question! 🙂 I loved reading Enid Blyton’s Famous Five and I read all 21 books when I was 10-11 years old! 🙂

Day 25 – My 5 Favorite Blogs

Well, I had already mentioned them on my blog. But what’s wrong in mentioning them again?! They are really awesome blogs to look out for!

Day 26 – An Old Photo Of Me

Aahann!! Okay, that’s me when I was 6 years old.. And, that’s taken during a fancy dress competition, and am dressed like Mira Bai, singing one of her songs.. Oh! Did I not tell you? Am a good classical singer too 🙂

An Old Photo Of Me
An Old Photo Of Me 🙂

Day 27 – My Favorite Recipe

Oh no! Am not a great cook! But I love making Tomato Pachadi. We can mix it with rice and serve as a main dish, or use it as a side dish too for roti, dosa, puri etc. Simple and easy to make! takes only 10-15 mins to prepare.

Chop juicy and ripe tomato into small dices. Put it in a pan, add turmeric powder, ginger, asafoetida, green chilli, salt and other seasoning for taste. Let it cook for 5-10 minutes. And Tadaaa Pachadi Ready! 😀

Day 28 – What Am I Looking Forward To..

Well, am looking forward to writing a good book someday. Sooner perhaps than later 🙂

Day 29 – Where Have I Travelled

Frankly, am a terrible traveller. I’v never really gone over long distant tours because I get motion sickness. But now, am wayyy better, so when I do, I will make an entry for sure 🙂

Day 30 – What’s In My Make-Up Bag

Ah.. Am not much into make-up. All I carry along is a moisturizer, a lip balm, Mascara and an eye liner!

Day 31 – Why Do I Blog

When I started this blog, all I wanted to do was to share some positive thoughts to my readers. There’s way too much of negativity and sarcasm in the internet world that morals and good thoughts are overridden by mean opinions and dirty thoughts. So, if people are looking for some thought provoking ideas that motivate and inspire them for a happy and healthy life; I wanted to make sure that they could find them right here, on my blog. So, I hope I have been doing that. And I will continue to do it forever 🙂

Thank You all so much for supporting my blog. And thank you very much for stopping by.

Be Kind. Live and Let Live.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 13 – 20

Here comes the next batch of the 31 Day Blog Challenge Posts.. Am I allowed to do like this? I wonder! 😀

Day 13 : My Earliest Memory

Well, I have a very strong memory.. Photographic memory especially and my earliest ‘happy’ memory would be playing under the hibiscus tree with my cousin when we were about 2.5 years old.. The best days of my life 🙂

Day 14 : If I Won The Lottery

I would obviously put a part of it in the bank, some I would invest in my dream-business venture and a major part in starting a school to educate “speech, hearing and visually impaired kids”.

Day 15 : Timeline Of My Day

Well, it varies almost everyday, but some of it remains a routine.. like..the day usually starts off with jogging and some book reading time in the park early in the morning after which I set off to work. Evening I visit the educational institute about which I have mentioned in some of my previous posts and then practice Veena (yeah, that’s my new obsession), then spend some time on my blog and watch The Mentalist before going to bed! 🙂 In between these activities I do a lot of other crazy stuff of course! 😀

Day 16 : Top Of My Bucket List

Well, I would say travelling to Seoul? 😀 To be practical, on top of everything crazy and impossible in my bucket list would be to start my own business and do my part for the society someday. I know I can’t do it right now, but that would always be my top priority amongst all my other dreams.

Day 17 : Most Proud Moment

I was proudest when I got a standing ovation from the audience after my speech. The best feeling ever when people put their hands up in the air and applaud… Amazing moment. Of course. 🙂

Day 18 : The Meaning Behind My Blog Name

The name of my blog depicts the nature of my mind and my very own self! When I started this blog I was in a terribly confused state any young adult could ever be. This blog paved way to clarity and greater sense of understanding the reality and different aspects of life. 🙂

Day 19 : What Do I Collect

Books. Notepads. Bookmarks. Pens. Anything useful related to paper and writing. 😀

Day 20 : A Difficult Time In My Life

There have been many. Of course. One of the worst would be when the doctor said my mother may not survive the next day..when I was just 15 and I was on my way to write my life’s most important exams. Well, don’t worry, my mother crossed that difficult time and she is hale and healthy. 🙂

So, that’s it for now.. This post started with the fondest memory and ended with the worst.. Wow! I have only 11 more days to finish it! Hope to finish the rest in the next batch 😀

Thanks for stopping by!

Right now am not in a position to own one. But some day I will for sure 🙂

Day 8 : What’s In My Handbag

Yeah, my handbag doesn’t have any girly make up stuff! Am not much into those…. I always carry a book, my notepad and a journal and a bunch of pens and of course a chocolate bar (for sure) and a comb ( I have really long hair! ) apart from other essentials like a mobile phone, wallet, etc!

Day 9 : Worst Habits

Habits..Worst? Yeah, Am a workaholic. I keep working most of the time that I forget to take time for a break. Am “working” on it now 🙂

Day 10 : Best Physical Feature

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 6 – My 5 Senses Right Now

So, I have to tell what my 5 senses are upto…

My Sixth Sense Resting In Peace. 😛

eyes Staring at the word “sense” : wondering, “why is brain not a sense organ? After all only that makes “sense” more sensible and segregates the rest from nonsense and nuisance etc…” well, that made no sense at all now. Drop it!

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 5 – 10 Songs I Love Right Now

I listen to songs based on my mood. Sometimes I don’t care about the lyrics, it’s just the voice or the music. Since the challenge states “right now”, it makes it a little easy to list out the top 10 songs on my current playlist! Please don’t expect great ones in the list, because am as blank as I could ever be, listening to couple of years old random songs. 😀

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 5 - 10 Songs I Love Right Now

Am adding only English and Korean albums. Don’t ask me “why Korean”, I just love the language 😀 None of the other languages, especially no song in my mother tongue or national language is added in this list. If I do that, then I will be way too confused.. So here’s the simple list of random top 10 songs 🙂

1. Shake It Off – Taylor Swift

2. Happy – Pharrell Williams

3. First Love (첫사랑) – Tiger JK ft. Punch

4. Grenade – Bruno Mars

5. Paradise – Coldplay

6. Stronger – Kelly Clarkson

7. Growl (으르렁) – Exo

8. Hey Soul Sister – Train

9. Problem – Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea

10. 22 – Taylor Swift

Ah.. I wish I could add a few more.. But that’s the top 10 on the play list now! 😀

Was there any of your favs?? Feel free to leave a comment below 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 4 – What Am I Afraid Of..

Am not afraid of something so silly like a lizard or a cockroach. Am not afraid of thunder or the dark either. The only thing am really afraid of is : “Lies”, to put it precisely I would say “Liars and Lies”.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 4 - What I Am Afraid Of..

I was an amazing liar when I was a kid. Nobody could ever decipher if I was telling the truth or lie. I was an impeccable liar! Not because I wanted to, but I would just say some lie or the other for no reason at all! I was just a kid! Later on, when I was 7, I deliberately lied about not doing some prank and my sister was blamed for it. She never told my mom that it was me, instead she protected me and took all the blame on herself. That hurt me and I told my mom the truth. So that’s how I changed for the better. Thanks to my sister. 🙂

I don’t lie. But sometimes, if necessary I hide the truth.

But as I grew up, I learnt how much a lie could impact one’s life, relationships and feelings. The worst part, the lie-chain. How people tell one lie over another to cover up their previous lie and the lie-chain continues and goes on forever. Am afraid of liars, they scare me. There is no trust, no faith and you are never sure when to believe and when not to. Even when they tell you the truth, you won’t be able to believe them!

When you get to know that someone lied to you about something so important; there is no feeling more devastating than that.

Lies create suspicion, destroys relationships, steals mental peace from both the liar as well as the listener.

Yes, Am afraid of “Liars and Lies”

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 3 – Favourite Quote

Yes, now that’s my favourite question! 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 3 - Favorite Quote

I had the best days when I was 13. That’s when I started appreciating literature, enjoyed reading bigger books (yes, that’s how I called them), wrote poetry and learnt to appreciate Charles Dickens, William Wordsworth, Oscar Wilde, P.B.Shelley, William Shakespeare and so on.. Golden days indeed! During those days, many wonderful quotes struck my head like a nail and they remain etched afresh in my memory. Choosing just one is really difficult but if I had to, I would choose the first quote I ever noted down in my journal

Hamlet

There Is Nothing Either Good Or Bad,

But Thinking Makes It So.

-William Shakespeare

Beautiful, isn’t it? One of the best in my opinion. 🙂 What seems good to you could be bad for someone else!

Your home might seem like a dull place to you; but for a homeless man it is heaven.

The dry summer is good for a potter but not for a farmer.

The tigress can’t be blamed for hunting the deer! For the deer’s mother, the tigress is bad while for the tigress’ cubs, she is the best.

You might find your neighbor’s lack of manners annoying but she might have a generous heart.

 Perception matters.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 2 – 20 Facts About Me!

Alright, as I said earlier, this blog challenge asks more questions about me, which is obviously difficult! The main reason being “who would want to read about me?” So I put down some of the 20 really interesting facts (well, I hope they are interesting) about me. Hope you don’t get bored! 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 2 - 20 Facts About Me!

So, Here we go!

1.  Am left handed

Whenever I say that, it is followed by a very weird question:

“you eat with left hand too??”

Well, duh, I do eat with left hand, because am left handed remember?? Here, eating with left hand is considered filthy and there are many many superstitions behind the left hand. I have had some really bad experiences because of this, about which I will write a detailed post some day.

2. I can write/draw with both hands simultaneously and both hand-writings look the same.

But yeah, point to be noted, I haven’t trained my brain yet to write different content simultaneously. I have a video of me writing like that somewhere,. but since this blog is anonymous, I would like to keep it that way.

3. It is almost impossible to make me angry.

The one aspect I love the most about myself is I can’t get angry at anyone easily nor can I hate people. If you had read my first day challenge post , you would know that my friends have been with me for a really long time. The reason being, I’ve never really fought with any of them. Even if I did, it would be for few minutes and not more. They have hurt me, sometimes even did blunders that almost damaged my career and education but still, what’s the point in getting angry?   So that’s how it goes.

My friends would never do anything intentionally to hurt me. If they did, then they are not even worth my anger. Others don’t deserve my anger nor my hatred while my friends are too precious to be hated as well!

But yes, there is only one person who can really make me angry, my one and only lovely “mom”. 🙂  In my opinion she is someone with whom I can get angry, shed my ego, cry, scream and laugh with.

4. Am talkative yet quiet

This is one thing that I hate and love about myself. Most people think am the biggest chatterbox but the truth is I talk too less. But when I do, I talk so energetically with everyone, that people think I am talkative. Well, not actually.

5. Shopping takes 10 minutes and Not More.

I can’t shop for more than 10 minutes. I can’t stay in a shop any longer looking for better outfits. I always decide what I want before entering a store and buy only that and get out! Any extra minute is a waste of time! Well, please don’t take me for company if you love shopping! 😀

6. I read anything, everything.

Well, at one point of time I enjoyed reading my engineering textbooks. Well, who does that for time pass? I did 😮

7. I learnt to use scissors just this week.

Well, that sounds weird, I know. Most probably it is because of my left handedness. I bought some special pair of scissors that really does the magic. So, yeah am surrounded by colorful craft paper these days 😀

8. I hate swearing

If you’ve noticed, I never use any of the foul words. Neither in my mother tongue nor in English; I never write, shout or murmur under my breath. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. I just don’t. It just saves me from public embarrassment I believe.

9. I love South East Asian languages

My first love is Korean. I found the language so fascinating that I learnt to read, write and speak (a little) too. Currently am learning Japanese. God, it’s an ocean! Apart from that I speak 3-4 Asian languages quite fluently. 🙂

10. I like nerds

I enjoy the company of a nerd (in a good way). I find them interesting and I feel connected easily.

11. Library – the only place I love to visit

The only place where I can go crazy and excited all at once is a library. I love libraries.!!! And of course, a book store, book fairs, anything related to books are fascinating and exciting!

12. I truly hate my senior school and college days (although I cherish a few moments)

Usually people love their senior school days or their time at college. But I truly hate both. I learnt some of the best lessons in the most bitter ways during those days. Lessons for a life time!

13. I love summer; I have never seen snow!

Actually, we hardly have winter and of course no snow at all. Which means I’ve seen snow only in pictures! 😮 But yeah, even the slightest winter that we have here, I dislike. Summer is of course quite hot about  35–40 °C and I literally love roaming in the sun (which is weird, I know)

14. I look too small for my age

Well, people think am very young. Younger than my actual age and so I often don’t receive the respect I deserve for age in formal speech!! 😮 I hate that!! You see, in Asian languages, elders are given respect in formal speech, not like English which is very neutral to all age groups!

15. I enjoy reading Self-help books and Philosophy

Yeah that’s my favorite genre. I can read all day long. 🙂

16. I get along well with guys than girls

I am not a tomboy. But I have very few girl friends. I wonder why!

17. I wrote my first poem in class 8

I never knew I could write stuff until class 8, especially poetry. I participated in an on-the-spot poetry writing competition which is when I got to know I could write too! 🙂

18. Computer programming and logical thinking is my area

By now you would have come to conclusion that am a nerd, yeah.. I’m a little., yes 😀 So am not elaborating this point anymore. 😀

19. Omg, this is hard!

I must tell you this is the hardest toughest piece I’ve ever written! Seriously, I’m sorry for putting you through this trouble!!

20. I’m flattered that you read this!! Bless ya!

If you really read this, Oh goodness, Bless you once again. 😀

Thank you for stopping by and reading. 🙂 Especially, a bow for your patience! 😀

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 1 – Introducing Me!

I was invited for this challenge by thenadlog. Thank you very much. Am really glad to be a part of it. 🙂

This 31 day blog challenge is an awesome way to introduce myself to all my readers and I hope during the process, this will let me know more about myself as well.

Day 1 : Introducing Me

Introducing Me!
Introducing Me!

Well, am an electronics engineer who loves music, gardening, literature, books and writing! Irony, but yes. That’s just me! I love to sit alone in my room, I visit the park every morning and ponder about various things, write poetry and read philosophy. But I really do hate loneliness.

Lonely and Alone are two totally different words. I prefer the latter a lot.

I have a bunch of really awesome friends. Some nerds, some funny and some totally crazy people that I love the most. They are like a part of my family. In fact I’m very bad in making friends but once I do, it is very hard to get rid of me. 😀 The bunch of friends that I mentioned before have been with me since I was 10 or 15 years old!

Am very difficult to be understood and very easily misunderstood.

I don’t know if it’s because of my lack of ability to talk and mingle with people or is it just because of my face that I tend to make a bad first impression. Am really thankful that the people around me gave me a second chance to make it right 🙂

Sarcasm is not my way

Frankly, I hate sarcasm. I don’t find it funny nor do I appreciate when people tend to make a sarcastic comment. It is just mean and I believe it is the most pathetic way to show one’s wit by putting the other down. It is like screaming for attention when nobody cares the least. I can make the most sarcastic comments when needed but I refrain, always. When anybody shares their piece of sarcasm to me, I give them a piece of “real smart-polite” response instead of an equally bad or even worse ‘mean’ comment.

Those are a few things about me. I find it really difficult to objectify “me”. But anyway, somehow I’ve managed to write it! Thank you for reading 🙂
