Guess: Who Am I? #2

The response for Guess: Who Am I? #1 has been really overwhelming and many of you have come up with the right answer! Thank you for the support. The answer for previous week’s riddle is “BAT” !

So here’s the next riddle. Hope you all like it. !

Guess: Who Am I? #2

Am an entertainer and a spy gone bad,

A manager and a security guard.

Am a cupid who links lovers’ hearts,

A messenger who helps  share all kinds of thoughts.

Am more like a human’s identity,

With this century am a necessity.

My nick name is fundamental unit of lives,

My last name with a ‘y’ is just a bogus!

Well, am running out of time,

Just Guess: Who I Am… 😉

P.S: Please leave your answer in the comment box below. Hope this is quite easy to decipher. 🙂 I also hope you liked it!

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 5 – 10 Songs I Love Right Now

I listen to songs based on my mood. Sometimes I don’t care about the lyrics, it’s just the voice or the music. Since the challenge states “right now”, it makes it a little easy to list out the top 10 songs on my current playlist! Please don’t expect great ones in the list, because am as blank as I could ever be, listening to couple of years old random songs. 😀

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 5 - 10 Songs I Love Right Now

Am adding only English and Korean albums. Don’t ask me “why Korean”, I just love the language 😀 None of the other languages, especially no song in my mother tongue or national language is added in this list. If I do that, then I will be way too confused.. So here’s the simple list of random top 10 songs 🙂

1. Shake It Off – Taylor Swift

2. Happy – Pharrell Williams

3. First Love (첫사랑) – Tiger JK ft. Punch

4. Grenade – Bruno Mars

5. Paradise – Coldplay

6. Stronger – Kelly Clarkson

7. Growl (으르렁) – Exo

8. Hey Soul Sister – Train

9. Problem – Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea

10. 22 – Taylor Swift

Ah.. I wish I could add a few more.. But that’s the top 10 on the play list now! 😀

Was there any of your favs?? Feel free to leave a comment below 🙂

What’s Wrong In Reusing? How Old Is Too Old? Should A Pretty Outfit Be Expensive?

Too many questions. Too many doubts. Lets take one by one.

You spend thousands of bucks on one party-wear only to wear it once? What’s wrong in reusing? Especially girls, find it too hard to wear the same shoes, outfits and accessories because they don’t want the same set of people to see them in the same clothing!

My question is, if they can see “the same YOU” for decades, why shouldn’t they see you in the same outfit once again?

What's Wrong In Reusing?
What’s Wrong In Reusing?

I really love the way Duchess Of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and the US First Lady, Michelle Obama, changed the entire idea. They have repeated a number of accessories and outfits on various occasions, mixed and matched them with different style and hairdo. They just made recycling and reusing a new style statement!

People who are under the limelight and spotted by reporters and cameras, round the clock, googled by the entire world; wear the same outfits and accessories. Why shouldn’t you and I?

Next, How old is too old? When do you call something old and out of fashion?

How Old Is Too Old?
How Old Is Too Old?

Recently my friend lost his mobile phone and so until he bought a new one, he had to use his old phone which he used until last year. He said it is too old! How does a phone which you used till last year is too old now???

So I told him, “you know me for almost 7 years now, am over couple of decades old too!”

He said a mobile is different, the old phone has no upgrades!

So I said,“well, am from the same homosapiens for millions of years with almost no upgrades.! “

You go into a store, get the latest model-mobile phone for which you have been saving up for few months, come out of the store and there is new upgraded version of the same phone! Now your new phone becomes way too old and out of trend?

I just don’t get it.

Finally, Should A Pretty Outfit Be Expensive?

For this I would say, the best example would be Kang So Ra’s MAMA Red Carpet outfit! She wore this simple and gorgeous $30 dress while presenting at the 2014 Mnet Asia Music Awards. How cool!

Should A Pretty Outfit Be Expensive?
Should A Pretty Outfit Be Expensive?

Sometimes “pretty” is not in the clothes, it is in your face. And a pretty face does not depend on the gold facial that you did the previous night but your happiness and peace of mind.

People get carried away by brands and prices. Ah.. They tend to forget the fact that;

You should be respected for what you are and not for what you wear.

Too many questions,..indeed.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 4 – What Am I Afraid Of..

Am not afraid of something so silly like a lizard or a cockroach. Am not afraid of thunder or the dark either. The only thing am really afraid of is : “Lies”, to put it precisely I would say “Liars and Lies”.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 4 - What I Am Afraid Of..

I was an amazing liar when I was a kid. Nobody could ever decipher if I was telling the truth or lie. I was an impeccable liar! Not because I wanted to, but I would just say some lie or the other for no reason at all! I was just a kid! Later on, when I was 7, I deliberately lied about not doing some prank and my sister was blamed for it. She never told my mom that it was me, instead she protected me and took all the blame on herself. That hurt me and I told my mom the truth. So that’s how I changed for the better. Thanks to my sister. 🙂

I don’t lie. But sometimes, if necessary I hide the truth.

But as I grew up, I learnt how much a lie could impact one’s life, relationships and feelings. The worst part, the lie-chain. How people tell one lie over another to cover up their previous lie and the lie-chain continues and goes on forever. Am afraid of liars, they scare me. There is no trust, no faith and you are never sure when to believe and when not to. Even when they tell you the truth, you won’t be able to believe them!

When you get to know that someone lied to you about something so important; there is no feeling more devastating than that.

Lies create suspicion, destroys relationships, steals mental peace from both the liar as well as the listener.

Yes, Am afraid of “Liars and Lies”

The So-Called Best Friend

Have you ever had a friend who promises you to keep all your secrets safe and then in your absence goes around and brags to everyone about each and every one of your conversations? And when you start to get a tiny hint of doubt, they cry, raise a ruckus and throw a whole new drama because you suspected them and make you feel guilty??

Well, then we are on the same page.

The So-Called Best Friend

I’ve met two such friends in my life and so I can understand the feeling better than anybody. But how did I get fooled twice?! I couldn’t forgive myself when I was deceived by another guy in a row. It hurt so badly.

In friendships, all that we expect is trust. We give and take trust-being the highest above all gems and currencies!! Yes, trust can never be bought, trust is beyond everything and only a good friend is privileged to have it! We don’t take it for granted!

I’ve had some really bitter experiences which I’ve never shared with anyone but that one friend! There used to be so many gossips and rumours about me for no reason and I hardly cared because I believed I had some really good friends that I can rely on. I don’t know about other places, but here, you can’t cross teenage without a bunch of gossips about you (mostly false rumors with extra toppings and spices added by the expert gossip mongers) I told him about my other friends, my family stuff, my secret crushes, my fears, and everything!

Whenever we met, he used to back me up, support me and most of the times, in front of everyone else.. when I was bullied, he was never around! He would vanish during crisis and come up with an excuse later!

And guess what he did?

He went all around the school, twisting each and every word that I had told him into something else. He made himself look like a hero by sharing all my secrets and deepest feelings! Nobody cared to stop him? Yeah, because people love to hear others’ secrets and cook up more stories! How mean!

And I, above all, trusted him for a whole year, only to be humiliated and left hurt with a huge scar in my heart for a lifetime. It has been years since this happened. But I do remember everything in detail. I got to know everything only after we all dispersed to various cities and states for college. How stupid! Right after all this, I got fooled once again in college. I must tell you, that guy is the smartest, meanest and the most worthless being alive! But thank goodness, I hadn’t told him many many things, now that I recall..I’m glad.

The so-called best friends are harmful. They are toxic. You don’t have to keep them close. A drop or a bottle, poison is poisonous.

Being an optimist, I learnt my lesson from these bad guys. I learnt how to identify good friend from the rest. I made some really awesome friends too! 🙂

Here’s a list of things I learnt about “friends”, “good friends” and “so-called best friends”.

  1. One who joins you and trusts you even before knowing about your popularity and talents, stays with you forever. (Yeah, that’s how I have friends over a decade, yeah, I know am bragging 😀 )
  2. When you have your doubts about your friend’s loyalty and honesty, a true friend would talk it out. Not create  huge drama out of it.
  3. A good friend would never ask you for details, they will just know everything when they look into your eyes. Not knowing wouldn’t be a problem, they will just support you no matter what!
  4. A real best friend would stay right next to you when you are in trouble. Not just vanish during times of crisis.
  5. Good friends try to protect your innocence, fake ones take advantage of it.
  6. You could always see trust and honesty in your friend’s eyes. If you don’t, don’t hesitate to confront them. Even after that, if you are not sure, just cut them off. Your intuition, your heart would say it all.

You can even trust your enemies. But never these so-called best friends.

If you have such a friend, don’t forget to do the needful. If you had one, learn from the mistake and move on. 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 3 – Favourite Quote

Yes, now that’s my favourite question! 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 3 - Favorite Quote

I had the best days when I was 13. That’s when I started appreciating literature, enjoyed reading bigger books (yes, that’s how I called them), wrote poetry and learnt to appreciate Charles Dickens, William Wordsworth, Oscar Wilde, P.B.Shelley, William Shakespeare and so on.. Golden days indeed! During those days, many wonderful quotes struck my head like a nail and they remain etched afresh in my memory. Choosing just one is really difficult but if I had to, I would choose the first quote I ever noted down in my journal

Hamlet

There Is Nothing Either Good Or Bad,

But Thinking Makes It So.

-William Shakespeare

Beautiful, isn’t it? One of the best in my opinion. 🙂 What seems good to you could be bad for someone else!

Your home might seem like a dull place to you; but for a homeless man it is heaven.

The dry summer is good for a potter but not for a farmer.

The tigress can’t be blamed for hunting the deer! For the deer’s mother, the tigress is bad while for the tigress’ cubs, she is the best.

You might find your neighbor’s lack of manners annoying but she might have a generous heart.

 Perception matters.

Guess: Who Am I? #1

Guess: Who Am I? #1

You created a hero out of me,

You named some blood suckers too!

Was I christened after them?

Oh, I wonder and now I can’t fathom!

Darkness is my cloak and my skin is my hood;

Am just so loud but I can’t be heard.

Are you a fox? Yes I am.

Are you a human? You created one.

Are you a vampire? Some of us are.

Are you a mammal? Oh yeah please, is that all?!

Well, am running out of time,

Just Guess: Who I Am… 😉

P.S: Please leave your answer in the comment box below. Hope this is quite simple. From next time on, I shall make it better. 🙂 Hope you liked it.

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 2 – 20 Facts About Me!

Alright, as I said earlier, this blog challenge asks more questions about me, which is obviously difficult! The main reason being “who would want to read about me?” So I put down some of the 20 really interesting facts (well, I hope they are interesting) about me. Hope you don’t get bored! 🙂

31 Day Blog Challenge : Day 2 - 20 Facts About Me!

So, Here we go!

1.  Am left handed

Whenever I say that, it is followed by a very weird question:

“you eat with left hand too??”

Well, duh, I do eat with left hand, because am left handed remember?? Here, eating with left hand is considered filthy and there are many many superstitions behind the left hand. I have had some really bad experiences because of this, about which I will write a detailed post some day.

2. I can write/draw with both hands simultaneously and both hand-writings look the same.

But yeah, point to be noted, I haven’t trained my brain yet to write different content simultaneously. I have a video of me writing like that somewhere,. but since this blog is anonymous, I would like to keep it that way.

3. It is almost impossible to make me angry.

The one aspect I love the most about myself is I can’t get angry at anyone easily nor can I hate people. If you had read my first day challenge post , you would know that my friends have been with me for a really long time. The reason being, I’ve never really fought with any of them. Even if I did, it would be for few minutes and not more. They have hurt me, sometimes even did blunders that almost damaged my career and education but still, what’s the point in getting angry?   So that’s how it goes.

My friends would never do anything intentionally to hurt me. If they did, then they are not even worth my anger. Others don’t deserve my anger nor my hatred while my friends are too precious to be hated as well!

But yes, there is only one person who can really make me angry, my one and only lovely “mom”. 🙂  In my opinion she is someone with whom I can get angry, shed my ego, cry, scream and laugh with.

4. Am talkative yet quiet

This is one thing that I hate and love about myself. Most people think am the biggest chatterbox but the truth is I talk too less. But when I do, I talk so energetically with everyone, that people think I am talkative. Well, not actually.

5. Shopping takes 10 minutes and Not More.

I can’t shop for more than 10 minutes. I can’t stay in a shop any longer looking for better outfits. I always decide what I want before entering a store and buy only that and get out! Any extra minute is a waste of time! Well, please don’t take me for company if you love shopping! 😀

6. I read anything, everything.

Well, at one point of time I enjoyed reading my engineering textbooks. Well, who does that for time pass? I did 😮

7. I learnt to use scissors just this week.

Well, that sounds weird, I know. Most probably it is because of my left handedness. I bought some special pair of scissors that really does the magic. So, yeah am surrounded by colorful craft paper these days 😀

8. I hate swearing

If you’ve noticed, I never use any of the foul words. Neither in my mother tongue nor in English; I never write, shout or murmur under my breath. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. I just don’t. It just saves me from public embarrassment I believe.

9. I love South East Asian languages

My first love is Korean. I found the language so fascinating that I learnt to read, write and speak (a little) too. Currently am learning Japanese. God, it’s an ocean! Apart from that I speak 3-4 Asian languages quite fluently. 🙂

10. I like nerds

I enjoy the company of a nerd (in a good way). I find them interesting and I feel connected easily.

11. Library – the only place I love to visit

The only place where I can go crazy and excited all at once is a library. I love libraries.!!! And of course, a book store, book fairs, anything related to books are fascinating and exciting!

12. I truly hate my senior school and college days (although I cherish a few moments)

Usually people love their senior school days or their time at college. But I truly hate both. I learnt some of the best lessons in the most bitter ways during those days. Lessons for a life time!

13. I love summer; I have never seen snow!

Actually, we hardly have winter and of course no snow at all. Which means I’ve seen snow only in pictures! 😮 But yeah, even the slightest winter that we have here, I dislike. Summer is of course quite hot about  35–40 °C and I literally love roaming in the sun (which is weird, I know)

14. I look too small for my age

Well, people think am very young. Younger than my actual age and so I often don’t receive the respect I deserve for age in formal speech!! 😮 I hate that!! You see, in Asian languages, elders are given respect in formal speech, not like English which is very neutral to all age groups!

15. I enjoy reading Self-help books and Philosophy

Yeah that’s my favorite genre. I can read all day long. 🙂

16. I get along well with guys than girls

I am not a tomboy. But I have very few girl friends. I wonder why!

17. I wrote my first poem in class 8

I never knew I could write stuff until class 8, especially poetry. I participated in an on-the-spot poetry writing competition which is when I got to know I could write too! 🙂

18. Computer programming and logical thinking is my area

By now you would have come to conclusion that am a nerd, yeah.. I’m a little., yes 😀 So am not elaborating this point anymore. 😀

19. Omg, this is hard!

I must tell you this is the hardest toughest piece I’ve ever written! Seriously, I’m sorry for putting you through this trouble!!

20. I’m flattered that you read this!! Bless ya!

If you really read this, Oh goodness, Bless you once again. 😀

Thank you for stopping by and reading. 🙂 Especially, a bow for your patience! 😀
